Work includes removal of the current building VRF cooling system with two towers in Building E, removal of existing equipment and piping, purchase and installation of new Daikin VRF equipment (two condensing units, two branch controllers, and ten fan coil units), installation of new ductwork and condensate drain lines, connection to building automation system, testing and balancing of the system, commissioning, and training of DPSST staff on operation of the new system. The facility will remain occupied during construction; contractor must maintain operational status of existing systems serving other areas and coordinate shutdowns with facilities staff. Work is located at Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, 4190 Aumsville Highway SE, Salem, Oregon.
