The Municipal Permitting Modernization Program (Program) will provide New York State (NYS) Municipalities with two years of no-cost access to a software platform that will improve workflow, modernize, support, and enhance current municipal building and zoning processes. This Program Opportunity Notice (PON) affirms New York’s “Letting New York Build” agenda by helping to accelerate housing development, lower costs for families, and ensure critical infrastructure projects move forward without needless delays.

Program Participants will receive support from the Software Vendor to configure and deploy the Program Software at their municipality. Training will be provided by the Software Vendor, and additional technical support will be offered by a dedicated provider contracted by NYSERDA.

Eligibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences:

NYSERDA PON 5862 seeks applications from NYS municipalities interested in no-cost access to Citizenserve®, software, a browser-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for building plan approval (“Program Software”), including a subscription, support, and training for two years. For the purposes of this PON, the term “municipality” refers to cities, towns, villages and counties in New York State.
