The New York Power Authority ("NYPA") is issuing a Request for Information (“RFI”) to gather information and indicative pricing from suppliers capable of providing turnkey solar lighting solutions for a customer owned brownfield site. This RFI is intended to gather data to help NYPA better understand available technologies and market costs. The scope involves audit/design, material procurement, installation, commissioning and on-going maintenance support for a pathway lighting system that provides safe, reliable and compliant illumination throughout the pedestrian walkways of the site.
Further details on qualifications/requirements can be found in the bid documents via NYPA’s Ariba platform.
Proposers are hereby directed to use NYPA’s website (www.nypa.gov) to obtain complete bid documents, bid addenda, post bid-addenda and related notices. Proposers obtaining bid documents from sources other than the authority's web site at www.nypa.gov do so at their own risk.
The scope involves audit/design, material procurement, installation, commissioning and on-going maintenance support for a pathway lighting system that provides safe, reliable and compliant illumination throughout the pedestrian walkways of the site. The ECHDC site is approximately 80 acres with approximately 3,700 linear feet of existing walkways and biking paths, is classified as a brownfield with no power being fed to the site, and requires lighting solutions that minimize ground disturbance and avoid trenching, excavating and underground feeds, including solar PV powered LED area lighting with controls allowing shutdown by 11pm.

Most New York work asks for the two below, and the solicitation documents are where it’s stated. One prequalification covers both — on this bid and the next.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what a GC or agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
