Dept of Environmental Services-NHIssuing agency·New Hampshire·via the NH DAS Procurement & Support Services portalThe New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) Drinking Water and Groundwater Bureau (DWGB) is issuing this request for proposals to provide technical continuing education to certified drinking water system operators of community public water systems (PWSs). DWGB has allocated $60,000.00 for this program and anticipates awarding a contract to an eligible candidate. Since 1979 New Hampshire has required PWSs to have a certified operator.
Operators are required to participate in a designated amount of training to be eligible to renew their certification. Stakeholder meetings and surveys have identified the need for quality, in- depth, and focused technical and managerial training topics.
The successful applicant must be accredited to provide continuing education training to certified drinking water system operators, offer a wide-ranging course list, complete 48 courses between January 1, 2027 and December 31, 2029, arrange and schedule training locations in New Hampshire ensuring geographic distribution, advertise training opportunities, register attendees, and issue certificates of completion. NHDES will have two complimentary seats in each class.
