Gaston County is soliciting proposals from qualified firms interested in providing professional insurance brokerage services as needed for accessing insurance markets, providing consultative insurance advisory services, and direct support in all areas of risk management. Sealed Proposals will be received by Gaston County until 2:00 P.M., Eastern Time, on December 14, 2026. Proposals received after the stated deadline will not be considered.

State Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP) at https://evp.nc.gov/ . Proposers are responsible for monitoring the County's bid posting webpage and/or the N.C. State Electronic Vendor Portal for addenda and other official solicitation information. Questions Written questions concerning this RFP must be submitted by email to bids@gastongov.com no later than 12:00 P.M., Eastern Time, on November 9, 2026.
The County will respond to material questions through written addenda posted to the County's official bid posting webpage https://www.gastongov.com/Bids.aspx and N.C. State electronic vendor portal (eVP) at https://evp.nc.gov/. Only written addenda issued by the County shall modify or supplement the requirements of this RFP. Gaston County reserves the right, in accordance with applicable law and County policy, to reject any or all Proposals, waive minor informalities or non-material irregularities, cancel or withdraw this RFP, or make no award if the County determines that doing so is in the best interest of the County.
The County will not waive a material requirement of the RFP if doing so would result in unequal treatment of Proposers or otherwise violate applicable law.
The prospective Broker will administer insurance brokerage services including property/casualty/specialty line risk analysis, marketing and placement of insurance, loss control services, claims services, consulting, and customer service. Specific tasks include developing underwriting information, preparing specifications, structuring insurance programs, reviewing policies, assisting with claims, monitoring market conditions, providing loss prevention strategies, and issuing certificates of insurance.
