The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids to install, remove and repair fence as
needed in Guilford County (West). All quantities are estimates. The Contractor shall furnish labor,
equipment, and materials.
Contractor’s bidding this NCDOT contract will not be required to sign up for the Interested Parties
List to submit a bid.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil
Rights of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Transportation (49 C.F.R., Part 21),
issued pursuant to such act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that the contract entered
into pursuant to this notice will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the
grounds of sex, race, color, or national origin.
The contractor shall furnish labor, equipment, and materials to install, remove, and repair fence at various locations on interstate, primary, and secondary roads in Guilford County (West). Work includes, but is not limited to: installing woven wire fence, chain link fence (48", 60", 72", 96" fabric), black vinyl coated chain link fence, timber fence posts, metal line and terminal posts, plated fence posts, tension wire, black vinyl coated tension wire, glare screen (1" and 1/2" mesh), barbed wire; resetting woven wire and chain link fence; removing chain link fence, terminal posts, and line posts; and providing temporary traffic control for lane closures and divided multilane roadway single lane closures. All quantities are estimates. The contractor shall also perform incidental clearing, grading, backfilling, and disposal of fence components.
