CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE: A GENERAL CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE IS REQUIRED IN ORDER
TO SUBMIT A BID ON ANY NON-FEDERAL AID PROJECT WHERE THE BID IS $40,000.00 OR
MORE, EXCEPT FOR CERTAIN SPECIALTY WORK AS DETERMINED BY THE LICENSING
BOARD.
The contractor shall construct four new bridge structures (Bridges 185, 186, 275, and 317) replacing existing bridges on SR 1356 over Johns River. Work includes site grading and excavation, removal of existing bridge and abutments, installation of new reinforced concrete cored slab bridges with approach slabs, construction of modified concrete flumes and shoulder berm gutters, placement of riprap and geotextile for streambank stabilization, installation of drainage pipe and structures (catch basins, drop inlets), guardrail installation, temporary shoring, erosion and sediment control measures (silt fencing, sediment basins, turbidity curtains), pavement removal and asphalt resurfacing, reforestation and permanent vegetation establishment, and traffic control during construction. The project spans 0.520 miles with 0.076 miles of structure work and 0.429 miles of roadway work. Construction is divided into five intermediate contract time periods for the four bridges, with specific completion dates and liquidated damages.
