INVITATION TO BID ON PURCHASE ORDER CONTRACT
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for the above
referenced project. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and any
other items necessary for the completion of this contract.
BID OPENING
Electronic bids must be received at the Division 2 Project Development Office, Located
at 1037 W.H. Smith Blvd., Greenville, by Wednesday, November 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
Bids for this project must be submitted electronically using the on-line system Bid
Express®. Refer to the Instructions to Bidders in the proposal for more information.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat.
The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and any other items necessary for the completion of the contract. The work includes milling, widening, resurfacing, and shoulder reconstruction on NC-33 and 10 sections of secondary roads in Beaufort County. The project is 18.22 miles in total and includes items such as Asphalt Concrete Surface Course Type S9.5B and Type S9.5C, Asphalt Concrete Base Course Type B25.0C, 4-inch mill patching, incidental stone base, seeding and mulching, erosion control, and temporary traffic control. The contractor must also perform shoulder reconstruction as directed, haul NCDOT supplied shoulder material, and comply with all applicable specifications.
