The Work of this Contract includes column base and overhead steel repairs on the Broadway – 7th Avenue Line. The Scope of the Work is summarized as follows: 1. Furnish and install barriers around the column bases. 2. Remove column base protection concrete. 3. Excavate down to column baseplates. 4. Repair columns in accordance with approved shop drawings, install column base protection concrete and restore sidewalk and/or street affected by the excavation. 5. Repair overhead steel in accordance with approved shop drawings. Special Instructions: This contract includes the opportunity to receive an Enhanced Utilization Credit, which is designed to incentivize the use of MWBE firms that have had limited or no opportunity to engage in contracting with the MTA. The Enhanced Utilization Credit Initiative (EUCI), offered by the MTA in partnership with Empire State Development, allows an additional fifty percent (50%) credit toward the utilization of EUCI-eligible firms for this Contract.
