The contractor shall cut down all trees and brush within specified areas, removing them to ground level. Chipping/grinding of timber is permissible with waste piles no taller than two feet and not placed in any right of way direct drainage path or floodplain area. Clearing of brush and trees will be 50' from the edge line where no guardrail is present and 30' off edge line where guardrail is present. No tree or brush clearing activities shall be performed in the Interstate 29 median. The work includes brush cutting and stump painting, stump grinding and tree and brush removal, temporary traffic control, and mobilization. All work shall be performed during daylight hours with no overnight lane closures. The tree cutting work must be completed between November 9, 2026 and February 28, 2027, with no tree cutting permitted after March 31, 2027.
