The County of Los Angeles, Department of Parks and Recreation is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the management, operation, and maintenance of the Arcadia Tennis Center. Interested and qualified proposers who meet the minimum qualifications and can successfully demonstrate their ability to provide similar services at comparable facilities in accordance with the requirements as stated in this RFP are invited to submit a proposal.
The selected proposer will be responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of the Arcadia Tennis Center, including providing all services and amenities related to tennis and pickleball operations. Responsibilities include managing, operating and maintaining a pro-shop and tennis and pickleball courts; selling prepackaged food and beverages; renting and/or repairing tennis and pickleball equipment; selling merchandise; collecting fees for court usage; providing top quality instruction at all levels including private and group lessons, junior programs, and programs for youth, adults, seniors, and physically challenged patrons; maintaining courts for free play; providing a plan for responding to emergencies; providing community and recreational services; completing required and proposed capital improvements; and providing improvements, furnishings, and equipment. The proposer must also perform general maintenance of the demised premises including buildings, structures, equipment, restrooms, courts, and other facilities, and develop a Community Benefits Program.
