The successful bidder will harvest timber from designated units (L Shape, Horseshoe, Bat, Boomerang, Bonus) totaling approximately 120.6 acres, with cutting permitted only from October 16 to March 31 due to USFWS regulations. The bidder must purchase Wildlife and Forestry Equipment for $46,356.34 before any timber is cut, and may optionally create woodland habitat on designated areas (WC East 4.6 acres, WC Central 9 acres, WC West 4.1 acres) for a credit of $1,000/acre. The bidder must bring pre-existing WMA roads back to pre-harvest condition, use Best Management Practices for water quality, and retire all landings, haul roads, and skid trails with approved seed mixes. A Kentucky Master Logger must be present at all times during harvesting. The contract duration is 2 years from execution of the license agreement.
