AEA Purchasing is a division of the Iowa Association of Area Education Agencies, a 28E association established by Iowa’s Area Education Agencies. AEA Purchasing facilitates a voluntary purchasing program to help Iowa schools and other eligible entities save time and money. AEA Purchasing’s goal is to combine the purchasing power of Iowa schools to offer aggressive pricing on materials, goods, and services through a competitive bid process.
Iowa’s AEAs currently serve accredited K–12 public and non-public school districts across the state, reaching approximately 500,000 students. The purpose of RFP 27-31SOFTWAREAEAPURCH is to establish a comprehensive procurement program that offers competitive pricing and high-quality academic versions of operational software, including Microsoft, Adobe, Google Workspace for Education Plus, VMware, AutoCAD, and other software products. The program will serve Iowa’s Area Education Agencies, accredited public school districts, accredited non-public schools, and other academic-related organizations.
Bid documents and responses will be released on Monday, September 14, 2026, and are managed through the Public Purchase Electronic Bid System. Bids are due on Monday, October 5, 2026, by 9:00 a.m. Central Time. There is no cost to register in Public Purchase to view and download the documents.
