Veterans HomeIssuing agency·Indianapolis, IN·via the Indiana Department of Administration Procurement DivisionRFS 27-87834 IVH Clinical Laboratory Services The purpose of this RFS is to select a respondent who can fulfill the needs of full range laboratory services for the Indiana Veterans' Home. The respondent will be required to obtain CLIA certification. It is the intent of the Indiana Department of Administration to contract with a respondent that can maintain timely and quality lab services.
The contractor will perform a full range of clinical laboratory services including chemistry, toxicology, microbiology, hematology, cytology, endocrinology, immune-hematology, immunology, and histology. The laboratory must maintain CLIA certification and accreditation as deemed necessary by the College of American Pathologists. Clinical pathologists shall be available for consultation with IVH staff. STAT specimens must be picked up within two hours of the lab order and results reported within four hours of the draw. Routine specimen pickup will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, no earlier than 5:30 AM and no later than 12:00 PM. The laboratory will provide all necessary supplies and maintain equipment for collection and transport of specimens, provide in-service training for IVH staff, and have licensed staff available by phone for consultation. The lab will bill and accept third-party payments when available, and bill the Indiana Veterans' Home per the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule where no third-party billing is possible.
