Food Services for Worth County Jail
Sealed proposals will be accepted at the Worth County Board of Commissioners Office until August 17, 2026, at 2 p.m. at which time the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals must be in a sealed envelope plainly marked "Sealed Proposal"Food Service for Worth County Jail' and addressed to the County Clerk, Angela Harrah at 201 N. The Food Service Provider will prepare all meals in the jail kitchen, providing two hot meals and one cold meal daily based on 2800 calories per day, meeting Georgia Jail Standards and ACA requirements. The provider must supply all food items, food service items, and janitorial/cleaning supplies, and provide officer meals at a reasonable price. The provider must also conduct a kitchen equipment assessment, propose capital investment initiatives, maintain an emergency feeding plan, and implement a quality assurance and compliance program. Inmate trustees will assist in food preparation under provider supervision.
