(Annual Contract)
GENERAL SCOPE
Provide landscape material consisting of pine straw, wheat straw and hay on an “as
needed” basis to the Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) to be utilized by
Park Services, Public Works and Cooperative Extension departments. The contract term
will be for two years with the option to renew for three additional twelve-month periods.
DUE DATE
December 2, 2026 - 2:30 PM (Eastern)
Responses must be submitted via OpenBids on or before the due date. A virtual
opening will be held during the 3:00 PM hour of the due date. Responding vendors
are not required but are invited to attend the opening.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Any and all addenda will be posted on the Purchasing Division’s web page, at

The contractor will supply regular pine straw (approx. 1,000 bales/year), long leaf pine straw (approx. 10,000 bales/year), wheat straw (approx. 4,000 bales/year), and hay (approx. 4,000 bales/year) on an as-needed basis. Materials must be clean, fresh, tightly baled, free of sticks, stones, leaves, other debris, and fire ants. Delivery must be within 72 hours after order placement. The contract is for two years with an option to renew for three additional twelve-month periods. Pricing is fixed for the initial two-year term, with possible escalation up to 5% thereafter upon documented request.
