All project questions shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer, Aaron Wadley, at aaron@tv-eng.com. Questions
must be in writing to be considered. Any perceived response not in writing is not official.
Bids must be received on or before the bid opening. Bids received after that time will not be considered. Bids will
be publicly opened and read aloud at the time and location stated above.
SUBMIT BID in a sealed envelope and deliver in person to Bostwick City Hall. Each bid proposal shall
include:
• Two (2) complete physical copies of the bid proposal.
• One (1) flash drive containing digital copies of the complete bid proposal.
Faxed, emailed, mailed, or parcel-delivered bids will not satisfy the in-person delivery requirement.
The project includes providing all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, temporary facilities, traffic control, utility coordination, testing, cleanup, and restoration necessary to construct the Bostwick Water Line Replacement. Work includes installing 8-inch, 6-inch, and 1-1/2-inch PVC water mains, fittings, valves, hydrants, taps, reducers, caps, restrained joints, detection tape, bedding, backfill, and appurtenances; installing 16-inch steel casing by jack-and-bore methods; connecting all existing meters and services to the new water main; performing pressure/leakage testing, flushing, disinfection, bacteriological sampling, and disposal of chlorinated water; maintaining safe traffic operations; installing and maintaining erosion and sediment controls; final grassing with sod sourced from Bostwick; and abandoning the existing water line in place, including handling potential asbestos-containing material.
