SALE ADVERTISEMENT Thunder Hollow 26/27 Timber Sale The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This is a leave tree marked thinning of approximately 292 acres of longleaf pine, slash pine, loblolly pine, and hardwood on Blackwater River State Forest in Santa Rosa County, Florida (SFI Certified Forest BVC-SFIFM-700005). All pine and hardwoods not marked with yellow paint within the sale area is available for harvest.
Any and all timber that is marked with yellow paint shall not be harvested or damaged. Estimated volumes for the sale are as follows: 7,786 tons of pine pulpwood, 4,328 tons of pine super pulpwood, 1,767 tons of pine chip-n-saw, 1,645 tons of pine sawtimber, 1,963 tons of hardwood pulpwood. Sale area boundaries are marked with double dots of orange paint.
This will be a 12-month contract. Interested parties may obtain complete bid information by contacting Thomas Jernigan at (850) 957-5737. The Florida Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in bids received.
