The City of Dallas Department of Transportation and Public Works (TPW) (City) in collaboration with the Convention and Event Services (CES) department is seeking Statements of Qualification (SOQs) from experienced civil engineering firms who can demonstrate they have the resources, experience, and qualifications to provide Construction Management, Engineering, and Inspection (CMEI) Services covering two projects-Project A and Project B as follows:
A) Project A: Construction Management, Engineering, and Inspection Services (CMEI) services for the KBHCCD project located in the City of Dallas (estimated construction budget is $3 B). Project A must be led by an engineering firm. The focus of services to be provided under project A are as follows:
a. All work related to piers, pier caps, slab on grade and columns
b. All work related to roadway construction associated with the KBHCCD building (within the footprint of the building and/or within the immediate vicinity of the building)
c. All other special inspections, including fireproofing, enclosure, etc.
B) Project B: Construction Management, Engineering, and Inspection Services (CMEI) services for the KBHCCD project located in the City of Dallas (estimated construction budget is $3 B). Project B must be led by an engineering firm. The focus of services to be provided under Project B are as follows:
a. All work related to steel structures and elevated slabs
b. All work related to roadway construction associated with the KBHCCD building (within the footprint of the building and/or within the immediate vicinity of the building)
c. All other special inspections, including fireproofing, enclosure, etc.
The city intends to hire a consultant for each of the listed projects (total two (2) consultants). Furthermore, the approximate construction cost estimate is included for informational purposes only. The City reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, adjust or revise the scopes to match funding allocation/availability as needed or as appropriated.
The work to be performed by the firms under this contract consists of providing CMEI services covering construction management, engineering, and inspection operations before, during, and at completion of construction improvements.
