The Town of Pomfret is seeking sealed bids from qualified construction contractors to provide construction services for State Project No, 111-126, Air Line Trail Reconstruction and Accessibility Improvements. The project is funded through the Transportation Alternatives Program administered by the CT DOT, Federal Aid Project No. PEDS(305). Improvements include construction of a stone dust surface segment of the Air Line Trail from Route 44/169 in Pomfret to the Quinebaug River in Putnam.
The project also includes tree removal, drainage improvements, grading, fencing, minor landscaping, access ramp/retaining walls, a staircase connecting to the Quinebaug River Trail, and restoration of disturbed areas.
