The selected contractor will develop a Comprehensive State Parks Strategy that will serve as a foundational guide for policy, investment, and strategic decision-making across Colorado's State Parks system. The strategy will consider long-term system sustainability through a forward-looking planning horizon (e.g., 2040), including actionable strategies to address deferred maintenance needs, evolving visitation patterns, and financial resilience across the state park system. The work includes external engagement with the general public and tribal communities, as well as internal engagement with CPW staff and the Parks and Wildlife Commission. The contractor will also develop a framework and approach for strategic communications, which CPW branding and communications staff will use to create specific products.
