Drought Resiliency and Water Efficiency Grant Program RFR
Eligible projects include water loss control program development and implementation (leak detection, meter calibration, new technology pilots); water efficiency program development (conservation plans, residential leak detection, municipal building upgrades); outdoor water use efficiency improvements (drought-resistant landscaping, irrigation audits and upgrades); and drought management planning (bathymetric surveys, local drought plans, water use restriction programs). Projects must be completed by June 30, 2027, with reimbursement of approved costs including professional services, consultant fees, software, equipment, and materials. Grantees must deliver progress reports, final reports with evaluation and lessons learned, and a presentation to the Massachusetts Water Resources Commission.
