The contemplated scope includes development of a job task analysis for a scored exam measuring verbal and written skills, logical and sequential thinking, ability to learn, ability to follow directions, reading and comprehension, and judgement, including identification of minimum entrance requirements, cognitive factors and physical abilities, translatable examination, and a supplemental written scoreable examination for reading comprehension, grammar and language usage. It also includes administration of a secure computer-based exam in-person and online at various testing locations throughout Massachusetts on a flexible schedule including weekends, identity confirmation and proctoring, ongoing maintenance and promulgation of the MSP Trooper Applicant list, and identification of necessary software, hardware, consulting services, and third-party relationships.
