The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to demolish the building and foundation to a minimum of two feet below final grade, remove yard walks and steps, backfill the basement with clean earth or rubble fill (not exceeding 30% rubble, with no pieces larger than 10"x10"x10"), spread a minimum of six inches of clean earth over the fill, grade the lot to conform to existing contours, close wall openings with stone and mortar, remove steps from the public sidewalk and repair the walk per City Engineer specifications, protect adjoining property, reduce grade variations over 48" or install a 4' chain link fence, remove all trash and debris, spread seed and straw, and provide disposal receipts upon request. The contractor must also notify the inspector at least 24 hours before starting demolition and arrange a pre-demolition site meeting.
