All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be emailed to the Information Contact no later than 2:00pm on September 28, 2026.
The vendor must supply bulk rock salt conforming to AASHTO M143, Sodium Chloride Type 1, Grade 1, free flowing fresh stock. Delivery is FOB destination to Illinois Tollway M-Sites (M-4, Spur, M-5, M-6, M-7, M-11, M-16) with estimated quantities per site ranging from 3,400 to 6,200 tons. Orders are placed via telephone with email follow-up, require full truckloads (22-25 tons), and must be delivered within 7 working days. The contract includes a minimum 80% and maximum 120% purchase commitment. Liquidated damages of 5% per working day on undelivered portions apply from December 1 through May 1. The vendor must manage all transportation and delivery logistics.
