Austin Energy will consider the long-term purchase of energy, capacity and associated environmental attributes/renewable energy credits (RECs, EACs) from utility-scale Geothermal, Solar, Wind, Co-located BESS, Nuclear and Other Technology resources located in the ERCOT service region. The RFP uses a streamlined initial submission process requiring an Intake Form Excel Workbook and a PowerPoint project summary and developer overview, with a subsequent shortlist phase for further due diligence. Austin Energy seeks to contract for energy capacity up to 1 GW across single or multiple projects, and purchase energy and associated RECs/EACs generated from such resources. The contract term will be at least 7 years up to a maximum of 30 years.
