The contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, incidentals, and testing necessary to renovate the Ambassador entrance, entrance corridor, and Ambassador Suite (approx. 3,562 sq ft) and the Main Lobby (approx. 2,308 sq ft) in Building 1. Work includes selective demolition and renovation of the Ambassador Suite, including a new ramp and vestibule; renovation of the Main Lobby including replacement of the existing revolving door with an airlock of sliding and swinging doors with automatic controls; general construction, alterations, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work, utility systems, fire protection systems, abatement work, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures, and associated appurtenances. The project must be completed in multiple, carefully coordinated phases to allow the facility to remain operational throughout construction, with an approximate total construction period of 218 days as stated in the specifications.
