The project will renovate 10,700 square feet of space within Building 85, first floor, expanding the existing 5,700 square foot emergency room to 8,900 square feet and reconfiguring adjacent functions. Work includes demolition, phasing, structural work, new wall systems, flooring, painting, ceiling systems, new windows, architectural finish work, millwork, mechanical (HVAC and hydronic), mechanical systems digital control, plumbing, medical gas, patient lifts, fire proofing, electrical, telecommunications, nurse call, security, fire alarm, and fire protection sprinkler work, and potential asbestos and/or lead abatement. The contractor must maintain 24/7 operation of the active Emergency Department through phased construction.
