Description - The Michigan USDA APHIS Wildlife Services program conducts operational activities on the Great Lakes requiring reliable marine craft capable of safely transporting personnel and equipment. Due to age and increased maintenance requirements, the current vessel is no longer adequate. A replacement craft is necessary to maintain operational readiness.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation number **12639526Q0273 ** is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Boat Michigan USDA APHIS Wildlife Services program on the Great Lakes in accordance with SOW.
This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 441222 The small business size standard is $40.0 million. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
Admentment 001 - Correction to Delivery Verbiage.
The contractor must furnish and deliver one fully assembled aluminum-hull boat approximately 21 feet in length, with specified hull thicknesses, deadrise, beam, and welded beaching plates and ladder, capable of carrying at least 6 passengers plus 1,110 lbs. of gear and supporting outboard engines up to 300 HP. The boat must be equipped with an OEM commercial engine of at least 250 HP, 4-stroke V6 configuration, electronic fuel injection, and a 25-inch shaft length, along with a commercially manufactured aluminum tandem-axle trailer featuring DOT-compliant lighting, safety chains, and an appropriate braking system. Delivery, including an operational function test, OEM documentation, and title/MSO/trailer registration materials, must occur within 45 days of contract award at the Okemos, Michigan location, with inspection and acceptance conducted at the contractor's facility.
