This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation number 1232SA26Q1178 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for replacement of mini split HVAC units for the USDA ARS in Tallahassee, FL.
This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 238220 The small business size standard is $19.0M This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
The magnitude of construction is less than $75,000.

The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services to install two new mini split HVAC units in Trailer 2 and two in Trailer 3, including electrical power installation, system startup, and testing. Existing HVAC systems must be decommissioned, including refrigerant removal and electrical disconnection. Work must comply with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and local codes. The contractor is responsible for coordinating work to minimize disruption. New units must be mini split heat pumps with two indoor head units, ductless, with specified line sets, outdoor disconnect, surge protector, condensing unit pad with hurricane straps, and all required permits. A 1-year labor and 10-year parts warranty is required.
