The Fleet Readiness Center Procurement Group, Patuxent River, Maryland, hereby gives notice of their intent to award a sole-source purchase order to North Star Imaging, Inc. (CAGE Code 0KGB3), pursuant to FAR 6.103-1(b), on the basis that only one responsible source is reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Market research indicates that North Star Imaging, Inc., the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), is the only source capable of providing the required services.
Commander, Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC), Patuxent River, requires preventive maintenance, emergency repair services, software updates, and, as needed, replacement materials for North Star Imaging industrial computed tomography (CT) scanner systems supporting the Additive Manufacturing Group at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). The systems are located at Fleet Readiness Center East, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, responsible sources may submit a capability statement within five calendar days of this notice’s publication. Responses will be considered solely to determine whether a competitive procurement is warranted. The Government’s decision not to compete this requirement is solely within its discretion.
