Sizing Technology Pilot
This Call for Solutions (CFS) is issued under the Army Open Solicitation (AOS) W9128Z-25-S-A002.
The Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) on behalf of the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), G-4, is seeking innovative solutions capable of accurately capturing both body and foot measurements using automated, non-contact methods and translating those measurements into recommended standard Army uniform and footwear sizes.
The Army faces a significant challenge in accurately and efficiently outfitting personnel throughout their careers. The current reliance on manual tape measurements at accession points creates logistical bottlenecks, high rates of uniform/boot returns, and provides no mechanism for capturing changes to a Soldier's sizing data over time.
The objective of this CFS is to identify and evaluate mature commercial technologies for a Sizing Technology Pilot.
The Call for Solutions document titled “Attachment 1 - CFS HQDA-G-4_26_01 Sizing Technology Pilot” outlining the full problem statement, required and desired solution attributes, submission requirements, and evaluation phases/criteria, can be found in the "Attachments" section below.
The deadline to submit questions for this CFS is 13 October 2026 at 10:00 AM ET. All questions must be submitted via email to the POCs listed in this notice with the following subject line: "CFS HQDA-G-4_26_01 Sizing Technology Pilot"

The work requires a commercial body and foot scanning solution using automated, digital, non-contact methods to generate accurate measurements and map them to standard Army uniform and footwear sizes for Initial Entry Training Soldiers through MEPS, West Point Cadets, contracted ROTC Cadets nationwide, and in-service Soldiers for pre-deployment issue, supporting both on-site high-throughput batch processing and remote mobile self-assessment via smart devices, with transportable hardware for indoor and austere outdoor environments, structured exportable Soldier-level records integrated with Army Vantage to feed SEAM, encryption at rest and in transit, and hardware-agnostic design without permanent facility modifications.

One prequalification covers both — on this bid and the next.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what an agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
