This acquisition is set aside for small business. The principal North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this effort is 561730 – Landscaping Services.
The resulting award will be Firm-Fixed Price Contract.

Questions or comments pertaining to this SIR must be submitted in written form via email to Marshavia Clark, Contracting Officer, at marshavia.clark@faa.gov no later than 12 noon Central Time on Monday, October 26, 2022. Questions and responses that clarify the SIR may be provided to all Offerors; if this information is provided to all Offerors, the source of the questions will not be identified. Responses to all questions and any necessary amendments made to the SIR will be made by 5:00 pm Central Time on Monday, November 2, 2026.

The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, services, equipment, supervision, and insurance required to sterilize soil (herbicide treatment) in identified areas. Vegetation control consists of one initial solid application to bare ground and three touch-up applications per contract year, achieving a minimum 90% vegetation kill rate within 30 days. If the required kill rate is not met, the contractor must reapply at no additional cost. Work includes emergent and pre-emergent herbicides for control of Johnson grass, Foxtail, and Kochia on gravel, rock, bare ground, and grassy roadside areas. The contractor must provide a minimum of three days advance notice before application, comply with all OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations, and use only trained, state-licensed applicators. Work is performed Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, excluding federal holidays.
