Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) in conducting a solicitation in accordance with FAR 12.201-1 (c)(2). The following is a pre-solicitation notice to the Governmentwide Point of Entry (GPE), as required by FAR 12.201-1 (c)(2)(i). Content will be consistent with format of FAR 5.101 (c).

**(4) Description. **
(i)The Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Pollock requires Optometrist Services for the incarcerated inmate population in accordance with the Statement of Work. The Government has 1 base year and 4 option years with the same estimated totals, as noted in the Statement of Work. The anticipated Award Date: October/November 2026.
The Solicitation is anticipated to be posted to SAM.Gov on or before September 11, 2026.
The contractor will provide optometry services including eye exams, diagnosis of eye conditions, removal of foreign objects, tonometry exams, prescribing corrective lenses, fitting eyeglasses, and documenting exams in the Bureau of Prisons' Electronic Medical Record. The contractor must complete 15 to 20 scheduled exams per eight-session day. Services are performed at the Health Service Department at FCC Pollock, 1000 Airbase Road, Pollock, LA, between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The contractor will provide up to 1880 sessions during the base year and each option year, with an average of 40 sessions per week. All supplies and equipment are furnished by the institution.
