Correct Fire (Life) Safety Issues (Construction)

The contractor shall provide all tools, labor, materials, equipment, supervision, professional services, and expertise required to perform general construction, alterations, site work, select demolition, hauling, disposal, electrical work, and relocation of existing utilities to correct fire life safety issues at various buildings both on and off campus. The work includes but is not limited to new hand rails, new fire egress stairs, new exterior stair coverings, guard rails, stair wells, sidewalks, stair well coverings, doors, fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and wall modifications. The contractor must manage and perform all work including permitting, demolition, construction, construction management, submittals, equipment, scheduling, inspection and testing, environmental protection, recording of as-built drawings, and project closeout. The work will be performed at an occupied healthcare facility in operation 24 hours a day, requiring coordination to minimize interference with medical center operations.
