CAMP NELSON NATIONAL CEMETERY, KY 833CM3030 – CORRECT FCA DEFICIENCIES

The scope of work includes correcting FCA deficiencies at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Major scope items include construction at the main cemetery entrance, flagpole, retention pond, maintenance yard facilities, spoils area, and expansion additions. The base bid includes general construction as defined in the bid documents. Alternate 1 involves Historic Cemetery Wall Restoration, including repairing or replacing damaged capstones, re-pointing masonry joints with lime mortar, and addressing structural issues. Alternate 2 involves demolishing and constructing a new approximately 1,200 SF, 3-bay covered materials storage building. Alternate 3 involves removing topsoil, fill, and hardened identification layer, exposing crypt lids, constructing identification layer backfills and topsoil, and installing new turf and irrigation. The work also includes temporary trailers for staff and public restrooms, and various other construction as detailed in the specifications and drawings.
