The work required under this contract includes all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to construct and deliver one (1) marine debris skimmer vessel. The skimmer vessel must meet the minimum speed requirement of ten (10) knots when fully loaded and be capable of operating in partially protected waters. The vessel is to be an aluminum style catamaran hull, self-powered, and capable of collecting, loading, and unloading floating debris from the water without manual assistance. The contractor shall provide all qualified labor and equipment necessary for delivery and safe mooring at the dock designated by the City, take field measurements, submit shop drawings, and provide operation and maintenance manuals. The vessel shall be delivered to the Whale Creek dock at the Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 329 Greenpoint Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. Delivery of the vessel shall be 548 calendar days (eighteen months) from the commencement of the Contract.
