When you take a lease or contract over Washington state lands, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) can require performance security before it issues the agreement, under WAC 332-22-160. A surety bond is one accepted form. Pricing is 2% of the bond amount, with a $100 minimum — a quick soft pull may apply, and it never affects your score.

Enter your amount, consent to a soft pull, and file with DNR. Here is the whole thing — no broker phone tag:
Your business details, the bond amount DNR required, and the effective date — plus a one-time consent to a soft credit pull.
Most clear quickly; if underwriting needs anything, you hear from an underwriter within 48 hours. The credit check is a soft pull that never affects your score.
Pay online and receive the executed bond, ready to submit before DNR issues your easement or lease. Wet-ink originals mailed whenever the agency insists.
The Department of Natural Resources manages leases and other agreements over Washington state lands. Under WAC 332-22-160, DNR may require a lessee to file security — a cash bond, a savings account assignment, an approved corporate surety bond, or other form satisfactory to the department — prior to issuance of the lease, in an amount sufficient to guarantee performance of the terms and conditions of the lease or contract.
The bond guarantees that you perform the terms and conditions of the lease or contract — for example, restoring the site, removing improvements, or completing the work the agreement covers. DNR can raise or lower the amount if operations change, and may let a single security cover all of your state leases.
It is not insurance for you — if DNR makes a valid claim and the surety pays, you repay the surety. Because DNR sets the figure, confirm it in your agreement, then enter that amount and apply — pricing starts from $100. We run one soft credit pull that informs approval and pricing, never a hard inquiry.
