Texas requires a conduct surety bond from most retail alcohol permittees, including the Private Club Exemption Certificate Permit (NE), under Alcoholic Beverage Code §11.11, on TABC form L-2-60.2. The standard amount is $5,000 ($10,000 if you're within 1,000 feet of a public school). Premiums start from $100.

No underwriting queue for a standard $5,000–$10,000 conduct bond — enter your amount, pay, and file with TABC. Here is the whole thing:
Your business details, the bond amount ($5,000 or $10,000), and the effective date — that is the application.
No credit check up to $10,000.
Submit the executed conduct bond with your permit application or renewal in the Alcohol Industry Management System (AIMS). Wet-ink originals mailed whenever TABC insists.
The conduct surety bond is the bond most Texas retail alcohol permittees post under Alcoholic Beverage Code §11.11. For a private club exemption certificate permit (NE), it's a good-conduct guarantee: that you'll operate in compliance with the Alcoholic Beverage Code and the rules of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the Commission (the obligee). The bond must say on its face that you will not violate a law relating to alcoholic beverages or a Commission rule, and that the amount of the bond is paid to the state if the permit is revoked or on final adjudication that you violated the Code — §11.11(b)(2).
The standard amount is $5,000 ($10,000 if you're within 1,000 feet of a public school). The bond is filed on TABC form L-2-60.2. It is not insurance for you — if the surety pays, you repay the surety.
A claim comes from the party the bond protects, the obligee named on the form, when the duty the bond guarantees is not met.
The surety investigates and pays a valid claim, up to the bond amount. You then repay the surety: a surety bond is a guarantee of your performance, not insurance for you.
The premium covers a one-year term from the effective date you choose.
Renew before the expiry date to keep the bond in force: the license, permit or contract it backs expects continuous coverage.
File with your TABC permit. Submit the executed conduct bond with your permit application or renewal in the Alcohol Industry Management System (AIMS). Wet-ink originals mailed whenever TABC insists.
The premium is 1% of the bond amount, $100 minimum: the amount the obligee sets moves the price, not your business profile.
No credit check up to $10,000. Above that, the carrier may run a soft pull, which never affects your score.
Where a check runs, it decides approval; the rate is the same for everyone approved.
Submit the application with your bond amount ($5,000 or $10,000) — the executed conduct bond on form L-2-60.2 is generated instantly, ready to file.
