The City of Cibolo requires anyone working in construction fields — including roofing contractors — to register with the Planning & Engineering Department, and conditions that registration on a $25,000 contractor license bond.

It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the City of Cibolo (the obligee), with the public and your customers protected. The bond is a financial assurance that you follow the regulations of your registration and meet your obligations to clients; if a violation goes unresolved after the Cibolo Planning & Engineering Department gets involved, a claim may be filed against the bond.
