The City of Edmond conditions a structure-moving permit on a $50,000 surety bond — a damage-and-compliance guarantee standing behind your route through the City.
It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the City of Edmond (the obligee). If a move damages City streets, traffic signals, trees, or utility infrastructure, the City can recover against the bond to make repairs.
