What the discharge bond actually covers
A trucked waste discharge bond is a compliance and payment guarantee. When the City of London permits you to haul and discharge trucked waste — septage, holding-tank, or other hauled waste — at its wastewater treatment plant, the city wants a financial backstop that you follow its discharge rules and pay the disposal charges you incur.
It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the City of London (the obligee). If a hauler discharges prohibited waste, violates the permit, or fails to pay disposal fees, the city can recover against the bond.
