Louisiana requires a licensed structural pest control operator to maintain a $2,000 bond filed with the Department of Agriculture & Forestry. At 3% the math lands below our floor, so ours is $275 flat — the minimum premium — and the application is five minutes with no credit check.

License bonds are the simplest thing in surety. Here's the entire process:
Business details and an effective date. That's the application — no financials, no credit check section, no follow-up scavenger hunt.
Small fixed license bonds like this are among the thousands of bond types that issue right after purchase. At most, 1–2 business days.
Your executed bond arrives by email, ready to file with your structural pest control license application or renewal. Wet-ink original mailed on request.
$2,000 bond × 3% = $60, which is below our $275 minimum — so you pay $275, one-time per term. Fixed amount, fixed price.
Louisiana regulates structural pest control — termite, wood-destroying-insect, and general household pest work — through the Department of Agriculture & Forestry and its Structural Pest Control Commission. A licensed operator must execute a bond conditioned on the honest conduct of the business.
It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the State of Louisiana, with your customers as the protected parties. If an operator's covered conduct financially harms a customer, the customer can recover against the bond up to $2,000.
The bond must stay active for the life of your license, and the Commission generally requires written notice before cancellation or replacement. We track it and notify you 60 and 30 days out so your filing never lapses.
These are the actual issuing fields — no credit check section, because this bond doesn't have one.
