License bonds are the simplest thing in surety. Here's the entire process:
Business details and an effective date. That's the application — no financials, no credit section, no follow-up scavenger hunt.
License bonds like this are among the thousands of bond types that issue right after purchase.
Your executed bond arrives by email, ready to file with your FWC subagent appointment. Wet-ink original mailed on request.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) appoints retailers and other businesses as subagents to sell hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses and permits to the public. Under §379.3511, the commission may require each subagent to post an appropriate bond, using an insurer acceptable to the commission.
The bond is a financial guarantee that you handle license sales and the money honestly — that you account for the licenses you issue and remit the fees you collect to the FWC. It protects the commission against losses from a subagent’s misconduct, negligence, or failure to remit.
It is not insurance for you. If the surety pays the FWC on a valid claim, you repay the surety. The commission can also use blanket bonds or accept other security in lieu of an individual bond — so confirm with the FWC whether your appointment requires this $1,000 bond before you file.
These are the actual issuing fields — the application collects no credit information, because this bond doesn't need it.
