A guarantee that a rental car operator will pay the concession fees and lease obligations owed to Broward County under its rental car concession and lease agreement. The County sets the amount; the bond is priced at 1% of that amount, with a $100 minimum.

The concession bond may run a single soft credit check — enter your amount, consent, pay, and file with the County. Here is the whole thing:
Your business details, the bond amount Broward County required, and the effective date — plus a one-time consent to a soft credit check.
Most are approved as soon as you apply. Any check run is a soft pull that never affects your score. If it needs a second look, one to two business days at most.
Your executed bond arrives by email, ready to file under your rental car concession and lease agreement. Wet-ink originals mailed on request.
Broward County grants rental car concession and lease agreements for operations at its facilities — most prominently the Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades. Operators pay the County a concession fee (often a percentage of revenue against a minimum annual guarantee) plus rent on counter and ready-return space.
The County requires a surety bond as security for those concession fees and lease obligations. If an operator falls behind on its concession payments or lease rent, the County can recover the unpaid amounts against the bond.
You (the principal) post the bond, an A-rated surety stands behind it, and Broward County is the obligee. The bond is priced at 1% of the amount the County set, with a $100 minimum. Because the amounts are larger, it may also run one soft credit check for approval — never a hard inquiry.
Submit the application with the amount Broward County set — the soft pull is the only extra step, and it never affects your score or your rate.
