The Town of Darien requires a $3,000 bond before a contractor connects a building to the town sewer. Ours is $275 flat — our minimum, since 3% of $3,000 is below it. The application is five minutes with no credit check.

Permit bonds like this are simple. Here is the entire process:
Business details and an effective date. That is the application — no financials, no credit check section.
Small fixed permit bonds like this are among the thousands of bond types that issue right after purchase. At most, 1–2 business days.
Your executed bond and power of attorney arrive by email, ready to file with your building sewer connection permit. Wet-ink original mailed on request.
$3,000 bond — 3% is $90, below our $275 minimum, so the price is $275 per term. Fixed amount, fixed price, multi-year if you want it.
The Town of Darien controls connections to its sewer system. When a contractor connects a building’s sewer lateral to the town main, the Town conditions the building sewer connection permit on a $3,000 surety bond.
The bond is a workmanship-and-restoration guarantee. It runs to the Town of Darien as obligee and stands behind your obligation to make the connection properly, restore the street or right-of-way, and protect the town sewer. If your connection is defective or you leave the surface damaged, the Town can recover against the bond.
It is not insurance for you — if the surety pays the Town, you repay the surety. We issue the fixed $3,000 bond at our $275 minimum with no credit check.
These are the actual issuing fields — no credit check section, because this bond doesn’t have one.
