About this bond

What it is and who needs it.

What the single-job right-of-way bond actually guarantees

The Town of Frisco Public Works Department issues every excavation and right-of-way work permit within Town limits. It conditions those permits on a surety bond. The single-job bond covers one specific permit — the right choice when you have an occasional job in Frisco rather than year-round work.

The bond is a restoration-and-compliance guarantee running to the Town: it stands behind your obligation to restore the pavement, curb, and other public improvements you disturb on that job, and your compliance with Town right-of-way standards. Per the Town’s permit process, a minimum surety bond is required.

It is a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the Town of Frisco (the obligee). If you leave the right-of-way unrestored or out of spec, the Town can recover against the bond — and if the surety pays, you repay the surety.

Town of Frisco — Public Works Excavation / Right-of-Way PermitThe Town of Frisco Public Works Department issues all utility-excavation and right-of-way work permits within the Town and requires a surety bond as a condition of those permits; per the Town’s permit process, a minimum surety bond applies, and the single-job option bonds one specific permit. The bond amount and terms are set by the Town — confirm the amount on your Frisco permit materials.
