The purpose of the procurement is for Remedial Action to be performed at the Former United Zinc and Associated Smelters Superfund Site on Operable Unit 01 in Iola, KS. The objective is to reduce the human health risk of exposure to lead by removing lead-contaminated material from assigned residential properties. The EPA estimates 1,067 residential properties will be eligible for remediation, backfill and restoration over the course of one (1) base year and three (3) option years.

Former United Zinc Remedial Action previously planned for solicitation under 68HE0718R0008 will now be issued for solicitation under 68HE0718R0013. Solicitation is planned for posting the week of May 14. A site visit is planned in Iola, KS on Thursday, May 31. Details will be included in the solicitation.
