Sierra Army Depot located in Herlong, California has a requirement: re- certification of the nitrogen cylinders.
The Army intends to award one firm-fixed price contract as a result of this solicitation. This requirement is solicited as unrestricted and using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR part 6. Multiple awards will not be issued.
Award will be based on lowest price only that meets specifications.
The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 325120. The related small business 1,200 employees; In accordance with FAR Clause 52.204-7; Contractors are required to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) when submitting an offer or quotation and shall continue to be registered until time of award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation.
All responsible sources may submit a quote USING Standard Form (SF) 1449, which all be considered. In accordance with FAR 5.102(d), availability of this solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium. Questions shall include reference to the RFQ number in the subject line. Questions must be received a minimum of seven calendar days before the closing date listed in the RFQ. No telephone questions will be accepted. Notification of any postponements and any amendments to this solicitation will only be posted on this website. It is the sole responsibility of the offerors to continually review this website for any amendments made to this solicitation.
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform recertification of 528 Nitrogen Cylinders. Work includes inspecting, hydrostatic testing, refilling with nitrogen IAW A-A-59503, Type 1, Grade B, and Class 1, charging, and stamping each cylinder in accordance with CFR 49 Part 180, subpart C, 180.213. The contractor must also handle cylinder and valve failures, including notifying the COR, replacing failed cylinders and valves, and annotating all passed cylinders, failed cylinders, and failed valves on SIAD Form 3161. Transportation of cylinders to and from SIAD up to 200 miles is SIAD's responsibility; beyond that is the contractor's. The contractor is responsible for offloading pallets upon arrival and repalletizing cylinders for return within two weeks.
