Contractor shall perform laboratory microbiological analysis for potable water in accordance with the California Code of Regulations (CCR, Title 23. Vendor shall be certified with the State of California through the ELAP accreditation program and shall maintain that certification throughout the entirety of the contract period. The drinking water samples will be collected and delivered to the lab by the Modoc National Forest staff. The contractor shall perform laboratory microbiological analysis for potable water in accordance with the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 23. The laboratory shall analyze samples for coliform and, if positive, for fecal coliform or E. coli. Results must be reported within five business days for negative results and within one business day for positive results, with positive results also communicated by telephone. The lab must provide sterile testing bottles and lab slips upon request and report results to the California State Water Board as appropriate.
